Earlier today our Chairman, Robert Singer, spoke with dozens of municipal Heads of Aliyah and Absorption representing all the municipalities and regional councils in Israel, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Ramat Gan, Rishon Lezion and more.
In his address, Robert provided a broad analysis on the current situation facing Jewish communities worldwide, amidst the spread of COVID-19 and resurgence of antisemitism, and its impact on Jewish immigration to Israel.
Singer emphasized the importance of their role in maintaining relations between Israel and the diaspora. He also spoke of the crucial role Israel plays, as a strong and leading country, in advocating for diaspora Jewry.
He also noted that it is time for Israeli decision-makers to acknowledge Diaspora Jewry as a strategic, invaluable national security asset and act accordingly, and that the Israeli government should appoint the National Security Council to be the focal point of all the key issues taken by the government which may affect the Jewish communities.
